This session will explore the broad spectrum of challenges Ukraine encounters in its postwar reconstruction efforts, with an emphasis on sustainability and particularly on the treatment of liquid radioactive waste. While addressing the issue of radioactive waste management, the discussion will extend to encompass a wide range of environmental, engineering, economic, and social considerations vital for the country's recovery. The aim is to foster a comprehensive dialogue on innovative strategies, policies, and technologies that can support resilient and sustainable rebuilding processes. This includes infrastructure development, environmental restoration, economic revitalization, and community reintegration, ensuring a holistic approach to Ukraine's reconstruction.
Session 2: Innovative Environmental Engineering and Research
In this session, the focus extends beyond liquid radioactive waste to include a wider array of environmental challenges and opportunities. Session 3: Safety Measures and Best Practices in Liquid Radioactive Waste Treatment
Safety is paramount in the treatment and management of liquid radioactive waste. This session will focus on various safety measures, protocols, and best practices employed to ensure the secure handling, storage, transportation, and disposal of liquid radioactive waste. Papers will cover topics such as risk assessment, radiation protection, waste characterization, containment systems, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance. The session will also address safety culture, training, and public engagement to promote confidence in waste management practices.
